Support Worker Vacancy waiting to be filled
Venn Group have been approached by a support organisation and would like to introduce the following positions available
Position: Support Worker
Location: Bradford or Keighley
Rate: £13.60 PAYE (including holiday pay)
Length: 8 weeks ongoing
Hours: 37.5 hours p/week, Mon - Fri
The role will predominantly involve:
- Working for a Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence refuge-based accommodation service
- Supporting all individuals and their children fleeing domestic and other gender-based violence ensuring a whole family approach to safeguarding and support planning is adopted
- Providing safe, temporary and supported accommodation for vulnerable service users and children fleeing domestic abuse and to offer respite and safeguarding from further abuse
- Providing trauma informed support for the emotional and physical needs of women, men and children fleeing domestic abuse
- Assisting service users in securing move on accommodation for the future and to develop recreational and learning facilities for women and children during their stay with us in refuges
- Supporting male victims via dispersed accommodation provision ensuring aligned offer of support
- Providing a high quality and pro-active front-line service to individuals and families experiencing of DASV; delivering a pathway of support focussing on safety and protection working across all levels of risk
The successful candidate must have a background and experience in working with vulnerable people and in a refuge support setting, the role requires a female due to the nature of the clients you would be working with, you must have an Enhanced DBS and be available to start within 1 week
