Support Worker Required
Venn Group are currently recruiting for a Support Worker with our Supported Housing client based in Bath to begin a full time temporary contract for 3 months + with the chance of extension or to go permanent
Support Worker
Location: Bath
Contract duration: 3 Months temporary to permanent
Hours: Full time shift working (07:30-16:00 and 12:30-21:00)
Hourly rate: £11 PAYE (inclusive of holiday pay) or £12.65 via Umbrella

Day to day responsibilities include:
- Provide advocacy, emotional and practical support including in relation to legal options, housing, health and finance
- Work directly with all key agency partners to address the safety of service users who have experienced trafficking
- Support Service Users with legal applications and accessing appropriate legal advice with regards to their immigration and/or trafficking case
- Manage a case load ensuring each Service User receives services appropriate to their individual needs
- Understand the legal framework relating to the protection of children including the policy and procedures of the Local Safeguarding Children’s Board
- Support Service Users through the CJS and/or Immigration Service, explaining the procedures and their role and rights within that system
- Support the empowerment of the Service User and help them regain control of their lives
- Refer on and arrange meetings with external agencies/services as necessary
- Liaise with external agencies to help ensure service users receive co-ordinated help and support
- Undertake housing management functions as needed in services where accommodation is provided to clients, including all aspects of health and safety
- Carry out risk and needs assessments and help design a support plan to protect victims
Essential Skills:
- Experience of supporting vulnerable clients in a supported living environment
- Level 3 NVQ qualification or equivalent in a related field or be willing to work towards it
- Current enhanced DBS
