Supported Housing Officer
An ambitious and sector leading charity are currently recruiting for a Supported Housing Officer to join their team on a temporary basis in Buckinghamshire. You will work as part of a small and committed team supporting individuals with the transition into independence.
Length: Temporary 2 months ongoing
Pay Rate: £13.00 – 16.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Shifts: 8am-4pm, 2pm-10pm and one in 3 weekends
Location: High Wycombe
Role responsibilities:
- Deliver emotional and life skills based support, assisting service users with day-to-day tasks
- Complete support plans and risk assessments with the service users
- Enforce tenancy conditions in line with procedures including low-level anti-social behaviour and rent arrears
- Offer specialist knowledge and insight into rent arrears helping tenants with budgeting
- Carry out regular estate inspections
- Offer advice and assistance to tenants regarding their benefit entitlements
- Provide support and advice to tenants in relation to issues concerning their tenancies
- Manage void properties to ensure the quickest re-let times including carrying out viewings and sign-ups
Essential requirements:
- An Enhanced DBS with the Adults and Children’s lists checked from within the last 3 years or willingness to apply for a new one
- Knowledge of working with vulnerable adults and completing support plans and risk assessments
