Systems Security Officer

Our client, a global technology organisation, urgently require an experienced Security Systems Officer to undertake a long-term contract.
To be successful, you will have the following experience:
- CISMP – Desirable/Practitioner
- CISA – Desirable/Practitioner
- CISSP – Desirable/Practitioner
- DPA – Desirable/Practitioner
- DV Cleared
Within this role, you will be responsible for:
- Ensure security clearances are commensurate with User’s privileges and issue account details for the CIS system.
- Ensure compliance with CESG security policies, GPG13 for auditing purposes.
- Liaise with the Security Assurance Co-Ordinator for any system security policy documentation and provide authoritative input to Operational Security Management Policies.
- Provide support and advice to projects and business change initiatives on the likely impact to accreditation, including assessments on the suitability of proposed solutions with regards to Accreditation.
- Assist in the identification and interpretation of relevant legislation applicable to the MOD, JSP440 Manual of Security, Cabinet Office Strap Manual, JSP 541 Warning and Alert Procedures, HMG IA 1-6 and Security Policy Framework.
- Assist in the definition of key technical security controls for the Group in accordance with the SPF. Develop SyOps in conjunction with the Accreditor and SAC.
- Advise the Accreditor and SAC, and where appropriate any other business areas on any perceived changes in threat, security loopholes, infringements and vulnerabilities that may come to light.
- Review requests for change in accordance with the Group change processes, providing assessment against current policy, SyOps and impact on residual risk levels.
- Prepare and maintain PIA documentation for all accredited systems.
- Maintain a Risk Register for the CIS system and attend the Security Risk Management Board on a bi-annual basis.
