Venn Group are partnering with an NHS Trust to recruit a Category Manager to help support the procurement team in the delivery of the Trust’s Procurement Strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a leading organisation and support their growing procurement function.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Undertaking contract management and reviewing with stakeholders to ensure contracts deliver against agreed strategies and continue to meet Trusts’ requirements
- Identifying and managing risk throughout the procurement process
- Managing high value strategic sourcing projects which impact on stakeholder organisations service delivery and beyond
- Consistently delivering value for money through the effective sourcing of goods and services
- Providing advice and expertise in all aspects of procurement activity to stakeholders across the Trust
- Undertaking all procurement activities in full accordance with legal (EU legislation, commercial and contract law), environment and sustainability requirements
To be successful in this role you will need to have:
- Experience running tenders
- Public sector procurement experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong systems skills
