Early Help and Partnership Lead

Venn Group are currently recruiting for an interim Early Help and Partnership Lead on behalf of a Local Authority in the South West who requires a comprehensive independent review and options appraisal to be undertaken for the Council’s early help offer (universal and targeted) for children, young people and families in the area.
Location: South West (remote)
Duration: 12 months initially
Rate: £650 per day Umbrella
IR35 status: Inside IR35
Responsibilities:
- Map out and analyse the current offer and commissioned services in place, drawing together and strengthening partnership working across Children’s Services, the wider Council, other statutory bodies, key partners and stakeholders
- Ensure an integrated, coordinated, effective, and efficient operational early help offer is in place from universal through to targeted support with services which meet and are responsive to emerging needs
- Budgets are aligned to maximise the resources available to support universal provision, alongside targeted support that reaches and supports the more vulnerable families in BCP and their emerging needs
- Use the findings of the review to develop an options appraisal for consideration by the Council in respect of future commissioning and operational arrangements across early help services
- Draft a proposed early help offer for the LA which this must be in format that is accessible to children, young people and their families.
Essential experience:
- Significant experience of managing children social work services
- Significant experience and knowledge of Children’s Social Care Statutory and regulatory Framework
- Experience reviewing and implementing Early Help and Family provision improvements
- Expertise and leadership experience at working above Service Manager level
