Engagement & Development Officer
Rate: £250 p/d (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Working pattern: Hybrid – West Midlands
Travel: Must have access to own vehicle and be able to travel locally as required
About the role
This is a new role focused on driving community engagement through a network of public-facing services. You’ll build and nurture partnerships, embed services into community spaces, and turn strategic priorities into practical, community-led activity that promotes wellbeing, inclusion and independence.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of partner organisations and community groups
- Design, deliver and evaluate engagement activity and local projects that increase service reach and impact
- Translate strategy into practical delivery plans and measurable outcomes
- Represent the service at events and meetings, promoting collaboration and innovation
Essential criteria
- Proven experience working in large or complex organisations and delivering through change
- Track record of developing, managing and evaluating community-focused projects or programmes
- Strong experience of working collaboratively across senior and cross-organisational boundaries
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and facilitation skills; able to influence and build partnerships
- Comfortable working independently and adapting to changing priorities
