We are working with a large not for profit organisation to recruit for a Financial Accounting and Operations Manager
The successful post holder will provide high quality support to the organisation through management of the Financial Accounting and Control team and ensuring strong financial controls
Job Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for financial accounting across the organisation
Management of the financial accounting team, including training and performance of the team individually and collectively
Ensuring that the balance sheet is well managed, reconciliations are completed on a timely basis, and that suspense, control and clearing accounts are regularly monitored
Managing the external audit process, including being the primary point of contact with the auditors
Reviewing the year-end trial balances, analysing key variances with previous years to identify potential omissions or misstatements
Ensuring accounts are signed off and submitted to Companies House or Charity Commission on time
Collaborating with other members of the Finance department, including the Finance Business Partnering team, SAP team, Tax and Compliance, and Procurement
Person Specification:
Fully Qualified Finance Professional (Essential)
Highly developed analytical skills, able to provide insightful, accurate analysis of complex financial data and communicate clearly to finance and non-finance audiences
Experience of leading and managing teams
Experience of operating in a large and complex organisation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent system skills and experience using the SAP Finance system (Desirable)
Salary: £75k per annum
Contract Type: 2 year FTC
