Financial Planning and Operations Lead

Venn Group is currently working with a Multi Academy Trust based in Berkshire who are looking for a Financial Planning and Operations Lead. Below is a brief synopsis of the role;
Location: Berkshire
Salary: £39,500 - £43,500, depending on experience
Hours: 37 per week
Day to day duties include:
- Reconciliation of monthly payroll against budget
- Provide detailed current yearly performance variance analysis and, in conjunction with Head of Planning, develop corrective action plans
- Analyse current and past trends in key performance indicators, reviewing other benchmarks as needed to support reforecasting of School Budgets
- Contribute to the long-term site plan with the Principal, Regional Estates and IT Managers to ensure the site is maintained appropriately and developed
- Actively seek opportunities to drive forward improvements in the School’s income streams and work with procurement and other Trust functions to ensure efficiencies where possible
- Support the strategic recruitment plan within each academy ensuring that staffing decisions are factored into the relevant academy’s budget
Essential Skills for the role:
- Financial qualification (e.g. AAT or CIMA)
- Previously held management position
- Previous experience in an education setting is desirable
