Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer – Part-Time (16 Hours) – Remote Working – Initial 2 Month Contract – Up to £60 per hour (Umbrella)
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently recruiting for an experienced Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer to support a Local Authority on an interim basis, offering an excellent opportunity to support a well-regarded and friendly legal team.
Role Details:
Role: Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer
Working Arrangement: 16 hours per week, remote working
Rate: Up to £60 per hour umbrella
Start: ASAP Start
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will provide legal support across a range of commercial matters, with duties including:
- Providing legal advice on a variety of routine and complex commercial contracts matters
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements
- Supporting Council departments with contractual queries and risk management
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal governance procedures
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive (or equivalent) with proven experience in Commercial Contracts Law
- Experience working within Local Government or the public sector is highly desirable
- Ability to manage workload independently and provide clear, pragmatic advice
