Interim Contracts Management Business Partner
Based in London
Length: 3 months initially
A local authority in London is recruiting for a Contracts Management Business Partner to deputise for the Senior Contracts Manager in all matters relating to contract management and assist with designing, implementing and monitoring a council-wide contract management framework in line with best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, expert advice and implement contract management best practice
- Maintain up to date, expert knowledge of changes in contract legislation and best practice and understand their impact for the council
- Support contracts managers for different directorates with numerous work streams
- Provide support across three main directorates: Finance and Investment, Jobs, Opportunity and Growth and Capital and Corporate contracts
- Provide guidance to stakeholders and enable prioritised change through the implementation of process improvements
- Correctly assess client requirements at all levels for services and provide expert contract and procurement advice
Skills and experience required:
- Have previous public sector experience
- Experienced in working in a range of contracts roles within a multi-disciplinary environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to present complex data in an accessible format to a range of audiences, utilising visual and engaging methods of presentation of data and statistics
