Locum Contracts & Procurement Lawyer – South West – 3 Months Initial – Remote Working – £55 per hour (umbrella)

Venn Group’s specialist legal team is currently working with a reputable Local Authority in the South West area who are recruiting for a Contracts Locum to join their department.

This is a part-time position for up to 30 hours per week, offered for an initial term of 3 months, to start as soon as possible. It will be worked on a fully remote basis.
This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive to become part of an innovative Local Authority.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate strong experience in commercial contracts, procurement and public law. Local authority experience is required for this role.
 
Duties may include:

• Providing specialist procurement and contract law services and policy advice  
• Providing legal services in respect of procurement and contract law transactions including all negotiations on behalf of the Council as may be necessary
• Advising on public procurement law and contracts
• Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, grants, and public sector agreements

 
 
An hourly rate of £55 per hour (umbrella) is offered for this position.
