Specialist Advisor for Safeguarding Children
Venn Group are currently working with an NHS organisation based in the South East who are looking to recruit for an experienced Specialist Advisor for Safeguarding Children on an interim basis.
Duration: 2-3 months
Daily Rate: Band 7 – Band 8b
The Specialist Advisor for Safeguarding Children will be responsible for:
- Providing expert on all safeguarding children matters to all staff at the point of need
- Working with the Safeguarding Team, to ensure that arrangements are in place for safeguarding children supervision and training of all staff
- Monitor agreed standards of care including record keeping standards, to ensure safe practice within the NMC code of professional conduct, policies and procedures
- Contributing to the formulation and review of all child protection policies, guidelines and protocols for the organisation in partnership with the Named Nurse Safeguarding Children
- Support in training around MASH for the local community in which the organisation is situated
- Ensuring effective systems of Child Protection
It is essential that the Specialist Advisor for Safeguarding Children must have the following skills and experience:
- Expert knowledge and evidence of continuing professional development in working within Safeguarding
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as a team
- Held a similar post previously
