Contract Compliance Officer
We are currently working with a large local authority who require the interim assistance of a Contract Compliance Officer to supervise the operation and delivery of a variety of waste management contracts.
Role Responsibilities:
- Regular liaison with contractors, sub-contractors and District and Borough Councils
- Liaison with Regulatory bodies (Planning Authorities & the Environment Agency)
- Advises Residents (service users) of the county
- Ensure that the contracts operated in compliance with conditions of contract and specifications
- Carrying out audit trails on all waste streams to ensure compliance with current Environment Agency/Government legislation and performance monitoring
- Assist in the supervision of and the assessment and processing of payments for waste management contracts
- Assist in the development, maintenance and interrogation of the waste management statistical database
- Provide information required for the preparation of budget monitoring statements and for the forecasting of future budget requirements
Ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of waste management operations
- Knowledge of operational waste facilities with particular reference to HWRCs
- Thorough knowledge of waste industry good practice
- Knowledge of contract specification & procedures
Start: ASAP
Duration: 9 months with likely extensions
Rate: £16 per hour via umbrella company (inside IR35)
