Locum Contracts Legal Assistant

Up to £32 per hour umbrella

Local Authority in a London Borough

3 months initially with possibility of extension depending on project needs

36 hours per week, once a week office attendance

Venn Group is working with a fantastic local authority in the South East in their search for a Contracts Legal Assistant on a locum basis for an initial 3 month period.

Requirements:

• Experience working within Contract Law is essential
• Experience as a paralegal, ideally in a local authority
• Experience working own caseload is advantageous
• Strong IT and admin skills, expert proficiency in Microsoft Suite
• Experience editing and drafting documents
• Ideally an SQE or similar qualification

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Possessing an articulate attention to detail
• Diarising for senior members of the legal team
• General paralegal duties
• Working in liaison with all members of the legal team, being a point of contact for the organisation’s fee earners
• Drafting and editing documents, including some legal documents
• Intricately and independently work in a close-knit team
