Temporary Income Officer required
Venn Group’s South West Social Housing team are recruiting for an experienced Income Officer to join the team on a 5 month + contract in the first instance (with a potential for extension.)
Location: Somerset (Mainly working from home with occasional travel to Somerset)

Duration: 5 Months +
Hours: 30Mon to Fri (9am – 5:00pm)
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for arrears and debt recovery management, housing advice and income maximisation for tenants across a patch of properties
- Chase arrears by e-mail, letter, phone and home visits from time to time
- Deal with cases at all levels from the beginning through to completion or eviction
- Serve notices, escalating cases for enforcement action
- Complete the paperwork for and represent the organisation at court
- Provide advise on how to access Welfare Benefits and Universal Credit and aid clients with their payment plans and monitor their repayments
- Aim to reduce the arrears in the patch by and deal with all aspects of income recovery including letters, visits, telephone calls and legal work
- Resolving complaints and queries from tenants
Essentials:
- Demonstrable recent experience of arrears collection in a specialist arrears management role in a social housing setting
- Ability to represent at court for enforcement action
- Strong housing benefit and universal credit knowledge
- A current enhanced DBS
- Driver with own car
